Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks.
Develop automated test scripts for web and mobile APIs, UI, and backend systems.
Identify test cases for automation and work on converting them from manual to automated.
Perform exploratory and manual testing for new and complex product features.
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
Create, maintain, and execute test plans and test cases.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and track test coverage metrics.
Log defects clearly and track them to closure using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
Provide feedback on application usability, performance, and overall product quality.

Additional Qualification & Skills:

Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or Postman (for API testing).
Proficiency in scripting/programming languages like Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar.
Hands on - version control tools like Git and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab Actions).
Understanding of testing RESTful APIs and database validation using SQL.
Hands on - working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
Hands on - testing mobile applications (Android/iOS).
Knowledge of BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust).
Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and Docker containers.
Experience in automating business workflows or integration testing across systems.
