QA Automation Functional Lead
Design, build, and maintain robust automated test suites for web and mobile applications using Selenium and BDD frameworks (Cucumber).
Strong Java coding skills
Develop and scale test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API services, supporting Tescos high-traffic applications.
Perform API testing and automation using Postman or Enhance and extend our API/Web Service automation frameworks to keep up with evolving product needs.
Write and manage clear test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure traceability and coverage.
Execute manual and automated test cases; report, track, and manage defects using Jira.
Estimate, prioritize, and plan testing activities within agile delivery teams.
Perform functional and integration testing of complex systems, ensuring that all services, components, and integrations work seamlessly.
Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines with Git, Gradle/Maven, and Jenkins.
Participate in sprint ceremonies, product demos, and release reviews, acting as the quality champion in your squad.
Continuously improve Tesco’s test practices, frameworks, and tooling, staying ahead of industry trends.
Support the team with end-to-end manual testing when automation isn’t feasible.
Share knowledge and mentor junior testers when needed.
