Job Description

Role Overview: As an Automation QA at Morningstar, you will collaborate with project managers, data analysts, and developers to build technology solutions for Morningstar's Equity Data collection platforms. Your role will involve understanding C#, .Net, and Component based architectures to create scalable and flexible technical solutions. You will support existing systems, study their complexities, and implement better systems using modern software development practices. Key Responsibilities: - Define and establish automation strategy and process - Understand the Data Collection applications and develop the automation testing framework - Design and develop automation test cases based on requirements - Mentor and upgrade the automation skill set of other QAs Qualifications Required: - 2-4 years of working experience as an automation QA - Proven experience in developing automated test systems beyond record and playback - Hands-on experience with testing tools like Selenium, QTP, JUnit, NUnit - Understanding of white box, grey box, and black box testing techniques - Experience in at least two of the following languages: C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, C++, Java - Excellent understanding of object-oriented design principles - Familiarity with source control systems and configuration management - Proficiency in using SQL for writing and understanding queries and procedures - Ability to deliver quality results in a dynamic business-focused environment Company Details: Morningstar is an equal opportunity employer that offers a hybrid work environment allowing you to work remotely and collaborate in-person each week.
