QA Automation Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• We'll start each day with a scrum, working together to understand responsibilities. You'll participate in all phases of the Software Test Life Cycle, including requirements gathering, test planning, scheduling, testing, defect tracking, and reporting.
• You'll design test plans and data, automate test cases, and capture defects for large-scale, complex software systems. Working in two-week sprints, you must keep up with timelines and coding standards.
• You'll build and maintain the software testing framework and monitor test performance, always thinking of new ways to simplify and improve our processes. do detail is too small to ignore. Quality matters most. You'll do regression testing on applications and various software components.
• You'll design, monitor, and analyze quality assurance metrics, including defects, defect count, test results, and statuses.
• We work collaboratively, so you will collaborate across the organization to complete manual and automated tests to deliver products with efficiency and speed.
• You're always learning new codes and eager to figure things out as you learn.

Preferred candidate profile

• You'll have a bachelors degree OR equivalent.
• 5 - 8 years of overall experience in Testing (Manual & Automation)
• Should have hands on experience in ICM application and payroll management tools
• Good hands-on experience in Automation Testing using Selenium, cucumber, playwright tools.
• Should have good hand on experience in SQL Queries and Joins (POSTGRES, Oracle, MongoDB)
• Knowledge on Java language to write the UL automation scripts.
• Good hands-on experience in POSTMAN
• Experience in Agile- Scrum Framework
• Knowledge on JIRA to manage the defect lifecycle.
• Experience in planning for the testing activities.
• Understand the testing effort by analyzing the requirements of the project based on the user stories.
• Good Communication skills, handle multiple stake holders and get the requirements to work independently.
• Running the sanity checks, Functional test suits, regression test suits.
• Provide User stories Demos to Business team and get the signoff.
• Prepare the test plan, Test strategy, Test scenarios based on the inputs from business team.
• Strong background with Manual testing(Functional testing, regression testing, sanity testing, black box testing)
