Python Developer

Role & responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Python Developer with strong experience in AWS serverless technologies, particularly AWS Lambda. The ideal candidate will be proficient in building automation scripts, handling file transfers and transformations, and developing event-driven workflows using AWS services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Python Development & Automation

• Write efficient Python scripts for file processing, transformations, and data workflows.
• Develop reusable, scalable code for AWS Lambda functions.

2. AWS Serverless Solutions

• Build and deploy serverless applications using AWS Lambda
• Integrate Lambda with services like S3, SNS, SQS, and EventBridge.
• Optimize functions for performance and cost efficiency.

3. Event-Driven & Workflow Management

• Design and implement event-driven pipelines using EventBridge, Step Functions, and CloudWatch.

4. Testing & Debugging

• Write unit/integration tests for Lambda functions.
• Debug production/staging issues and ensure reliability.

5. CI/CD & Deployment

• Implement CI/CD pipelines using CodePipeline, CodeBuild, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.

6. Documentation & Best Practices

• Maintain technical documentation for code, architecture, and workflows.
• Ensure adherence to AWS best practices for security, scalability, and reliability.

Preferred candidate profile

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Python (3.x) for scripting, data processing, and automation.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda (development, deployment, optimization).
• Knowledge of AWS services: S3, Eventbridge, SNS, SQS, IAM.
• Experience with serverless frameworks.
• Familiarity with event-driven systems and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with Git/GitHub and collaborative workflows.

Good to Have:

• Knowledge of logging, monitoring, and alerting tools in AWS (CloudWatch, X-Ray).
• Exposure to containerization (Docker, ECS, or EKS) for hybrid workloads.
• Experience in handling large-scale file transfers and transformations.
