Job Description

Role Overview

Leadership & Mentorship

Lead and mentor a team of backend developers.
Establish coding standards and best practices.

Backend Development

Design and implement
RESTful APIs
and
microservices
using Python frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask).
Optimize application performance and ensure security.

Cloud & Infrastructure

Work with
GCP services
(BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub) for data orchestration.
Implement
CI/CD pipelines
and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

Architecture & Design

Contribute to architectural decisions for scalable backend systems.
Ensure API versioning, error handling, and performance tuning.

Collaboration

Coordinate with frontend, QA, DevOps, and data engineering teams.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning.

Quality Assurance

Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices.
Implement automated testing (Pytest, unit/integration tests).

Technical Expertise

Strong Python programming skills.
Experience with
FastAPI
, Django, or Flask.
Proficiency in
SQL/NoSQL databases
(PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Hands-on experience with
GCP services
.
Knowledge of
OAuth2, JWT
, and API security.

DevOps & Tools

CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes.
Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools.

Soft Skills

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

GCP certification (Cloud Architect or Data Engineer).
Experience with asynchronous programming and event-driven architectures.
Familiarity with TypeScript for API integration.
