Python Developer

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer to automate critical workflows for Virtual Appliance validation across cloud and virtualization platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong programming background, hands-on experience with cloud platforms, deep virtualization expertise, and proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, networking fundamentals, and Linux system administration.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

1. Cloud Platform Expertise

• Demonstrate strong competency in AWS.
• Experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure and GCP is highly desirable.

2. Programming and Scripting

• Develop automation scripts using Python and Shell for system workflows and API integrations.
• Demonstrate strong programming proficiency and problem-solving ability.

3. Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Design, develop, and manage IaC using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and other cloud-native technologies.
• Create and manage cloud-init scripts, user data, and post-deployment automation to support appliances.

4. Virtualization Expertise

• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms including VMware (required), Hyper-V, and KVM.
• Responsibilities include preparing and converting images for cloud and virtualization platforms, such as:

oConverting OVA to AMI, OVA to VHD, and between other image formats.

5. CI/CD Integration

• Integrate automation workflows into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitHub CI.

6. Networking and Linux Fundamentals

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, HTTP/S, web servers, and anycast routing.
• Apply foundational Linux system administration skills including file system management, troubleshooting, and working with services like NTP and syslog.
