Job Description

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience: Typically 10+ years of experience in software test development/automation, with proven experience in a leadership role.
Location: Bengaluru, Work from client office in hybrid mode. 3 days a week from client office and 2 days from home
Must Have Programming Expertise: Strong proficiency in Python programming (including object-oriented design) and scripting for automation.
Must Have Framework Proficiency: Expert hands-on experience with the Robot Framework (keywords, variables, resource files, custom Python libraries).
Must Have Lead experience: Should have prepared Test Strategy, Test plan, Managed team.
Good to Know Automation Tools: Experience with UI automation tools (Selenium), Performance Testing (JMeter), API automation (Postman), and database validation (SQL).
SDLC/QA Knowledge: Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), QA methodologies, Agile/Scrum practices, and defect lifecycles.
Additional Tools & Technologies: Proficiency with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Testing Efforts: Oversee the creation, execution, and tracking of comprehensive test plans and test cases, ensuring high-quality software deliverables.
Framework Architecture & Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable test automation frameworks using Python and the Robot Framework.
Automation Scripting: Create and execute automated scripts for various types of testing (functional, regression, API, UI, database) using Python, Robot Framework, Selenium/Playwright, and other relevant libraries.
Team Leadership & Mentoring: Manage a team of automation engineers, including task allocation, performance oversight, coaching, and mentoring on best practices and technical skills.
