1. Experience building end to end test automation frameworks using Python (e.g. pytest, Robot Framework) for functional and system-level testing
2. Networking Protocol & Domain Expertise - Hands on knowledge of L2/L3 networking features (TCP/IP, ICMP, IPv4/IPv6, VRRP, IGMP, VLANs, STP, LLDP), plus control plane protocols (BGP, ISIS) relevant to data center or enterprise routing
3. SDET / QA Background - Prior experience in QA or SDET roles: test planning, requirementtotestcase mapping, test case writing, defect logging and tracking
4. Linux Platform & Debugging Skills - Comfortable working in Linux environments, debugging software issues, profiling automation, and integrating with CI/CD pipelines
5. Test Infrastructure & Tools - Experience using test tools such as packet generators (IXIA, Spirent), network analyzers, and SDLC tools like Git, Jira, Confluence, qTest. Designing validation topologies and executing at scale.
1. Working knowledge of GoLang or C++
2. Exposure to microservices architecture with Kubernetes, Docker
3. Familiarity with Data Models & APIs - like YANG, YAML, JSON and RESTCONF/JSON, RPC
