PURCHASE STAFF

As a Procurement Manager, your primary responsibility will be to identify and select suppliers based on criteria such as price, quality, and delivery time. You will be expected to negotiate terms and pricing with vendors, and raise purchase orders to ensure the timely procurement of medicines and consumables. Monitoring stock levels and coordinating with store staff for demand forecasting will also be a crucial part of your role. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining purchase records, ensuring proper documentation, and coordinating with billing and inventory teams for stock entries. It will be essential to verify invoices and delivery challans for accuracy, follow up with suppliers for timely delivery, and resolve any discrepancies that may arise. Building and maintaining good relationships with vendors while evaluating their performance will also be key aspects of the job. To qualify for this position, you should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Pharmacy, Commerce, or a related field, along with at least 3 years of experience in purchase/procurement, preferably in a medical or pharmaceutical setting. A strong knowledge of medicines, surgical items, and medical supplies is required, as well as good negotiation and communication skills. Familiarity with inventory and billing software such as Marg and Medico, as well as a basic understanding of drug procurement regulations and GST billing, will be beneficial.
