Prepare RFQs, obtain competitive quotations and evaluate supplier offers (price, delivery, quality).
Negotiate prices, commercial terms, payment terms and delivery schedules with vendors and subcontractors.
Raise, issue and manage Purchase Orders (POs); ensure PO terms match contracts / site requirements.
Coordinate with site teams to forecast material requirements and expedite critical items.
Maintain and update vendor database; qualify and onboard new suppliers (documentation, credentials).
Track delivery schedules, follow up on dispatches, and resolve logistics/delivery issues.
Inspect/coordinate receipt of materials with site/store team; ensure delivery documentation and quality checks.
Reconcile supplier invoices with POs and GRNs; work with Accounts to resolve discrepancies.
Monitor inventory levels for commonly used items and trigger replenishment.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, safety and statutory requirements (tax/GST documentation).
Identify cost-saving opportunities and participate in procurement planning and tendering for larger contracts.
Prepare procurement reports (PO status, open orders, supplier performance).
