Purchase Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Sourcing and Procurement: Identifying, evaluating, and selecting reliable suppliers for nutraceutical ingredients and materials.
• Negotiation: Negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement, according to a job posting on Shine.
• Purchase Order Management: Creating and processing purchase orders, tracking orders, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, resolving any issues, and ensuring consistent quality.
• Market Analysis: Monitoring market trends and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and risks related to ingredient sourcing.
• Quality Control: Ensuring that purchased materials meet quality standards and specifications.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of purchases, supplier information, and inventory levels.
• Cost Analysis: Analyzing purchase costs and identifying opportunities for cost savings.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree: In a related field like business administration, supply chain management, or a science-related field (biology, chemistry, or biochemistry).
• Experience: Prior experience in purchasing or procurement, particularly within the nutraceutical or pharmaceutical industry, is often preferred, says a job posting on Teal.
• Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with suppliers and internal teams.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ERP software

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
