Purchase Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors for both educational and construction needs.
• Source materials such as academic supplies, lab equipment, IT hardware, furniture, civil & MEP materials, and facility services.
• Conduct market research to ensure competitive pricing and quality.

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and credit policies with vendors to reduce procurement costs.
• Prepare comparative statements, cost analyses, and finalize rates.
• Ensure all purchases align with the approved budget.

• Coordinate with Management, facility managers, project engineers, and site teams to understand requirements.
• Develop procurement schedules for school operations and construction projects.
• Ensure materials are delivered as per project and academic timelines (school reopening, events, project phases, etc.).

• Maintain accurate records including contracts, bills, GRNs, warranty documents, and vendor databases.
• Ensure transparent and compliant procurement practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of both education-sector procurement (IT, furniture, lab items, services) and Real Estate/ construction materials.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in ERP/procurement software.
• Ability to interpret BOQs, drawings, and technical specifications (for construction).
• Strong communication, analytical, and multi-tasking ability.
• Ethical and compliant procurement mindset.
