Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field.
  • Experience: 2–5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement within the furniture, interior, or manufacturing industry.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of furniture raw materials, fittings, and hardware.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, or Odoo (preferred).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and analytical mindset.
  • Excellent vendor management and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Job Summary:

The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, components, and products required for furniture manufacturing or retail operations. The role ensures timely procurement at optimal cost and quality, maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to support smooth production and sales operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and source reliable suppliers for raw materials such as wood, plywood, laminates, hardware, upholstery, and other furniture accessories.
  • Request quotations, compare pricing, and negotiate terms with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency and quality.
  • Prepare purchase orders and follow up for timely delivery of materials.
  • Maintain and update records of purchases, pricing, and inventory.
  • Coordinate with the production, design, and warehouse teams to forecast material requirements.
  • Ensure materials meet required quality standards and specifications before approval.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to delays, shortages, or quality discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships for long-term cooperation.
  • Track and control purchase budgets, ensuring alignment with company policies.
  • Stay updated on market trends, new materials, and pricing changes in the furniture and interior industry.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
