Purchase Executive

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchase Executive responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials and equipment related to Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Plumbing (MEP), HVAC, and Cleanroom projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of technical specifications, vendor development, and cost-effective procurement aligned with project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Material Procurement:

Source and procure materials, equipment, and services related to MEP, HVAC, civil works, and cleanroom projects (e.g., HEPA filters, AHUs, ducting, pumps, cables, control panels, pipelines, false ceilings, panels, etc.).

• Vendor Management:

Identify and qualify reliable vendors/suppliers, maintain vendor database, and ensure timely delivery and compliance with quality standards.

• Quotation & Negotiation:

Obtain multiple quotations, evaluate offers based on technical and commercial aspects, negotiate best prices, delivery terms, and payment conditions.

• Technical Coordination:

Work closely with engineering and project teams to understand technical requirements, specifications, and project schedules.

• Purchase Order Management:

Prepare and release purchase orders, ensure order acknowledgment, and track order fulfillment status till delivery.

• Inventory Coordination:

Coordinate with stores and project teams to monitor stock levels, avoid overstocking or shortages, and ensure just-in-time delivery.

• Cost Control & Budgeting:

Monitor procurement costs, identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or specifications.

• Compliance & Documentation:

Ensure compliance with company policies, contract terms, and maintain complete procurement records and documentation.

• Market Research:

Stay updated on market trends, new materials, and supplier innovations to support strategic purchasing decisions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering
• 3–6 years of experience in technical procurement, preferably in construction, MEP, or cleanroom industries
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical items, plumbing fittings, and civil materials
• Familiarity with technical drawings and BOQ interpretation
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹36,000.00 per month
