Purchase Executive

Role & responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Purchase Executive will be responsible for managing purchase operations for the retail jewelry showroom. The role involves vendor coordination, inventory tracking, timely procurement, and supporting the sales team with stock requirements. The candidate should have good communication skills, experience in jewellery retail operations, and strong coordination abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day purchase activities for gold, silver, diamonds, and other jewellery categories.
  
• Source, negotiate, and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  
• Raise purchase orders, follow up on delivery timelines, and ensure timely stock availability.
  
• Maintain accurate purchase records, invoices, and stock movement entries.
  
• Coordinate with the sales team to understand product requirements and stock shortages.
  
• Support inventory management, stock audits, and reconciliation activities.
  
• Monitor purchase budgets and ensure cost-effective procurement.
  
• Communicate with vendors regarding product quality, pricing, and return/replacement issues.
  
• Assist management in planning product requirements and seasonal stocking.
  
• Ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards.
  

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in retail jewellery showroom purchase or sales operations (mandatory).
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Good knowledge of procurement processes and vendor coordination.
  
• Ability to work with internal teams and manage multiple tasks.
  
• Basic computer knowledge (Excel, ERP/ billing software preferred).
  
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  

Education:

• Any degree (Commerce background preferred, but not mandatory).
  

Experience:

• 1-3 years in retail jewelry showroom purchase/sales or relevant role.

Note: Timing Will be 9.00 Am to 9.00 Pm
