Job Overview

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Executive with 3–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the textile or garment industry. The candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing activities, vendor coordination, price negotiations, and ensuring the timely availability of materials as per business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities for the organisation.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers for textile materials, fabrics, accessories, trims, and other required items.
• Source materials based on quality specifications, cost requirements, and delivery timelines.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement.
• Prepare and process purchase orders (POs), quotations, and other procurement documentation.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as Production, Stores, Quality, and Accounts to understand material requirements.
• Ensure timely delivery of purchased materials and follow up with suppliers for pending orders.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid material shortages.
• Verify vendor invoices, purchase orders, and material delivery details.
• Maintain vendor databases, purchase records, and procurement reports.
• Resolve issues related to material quality, delayed deliveries, and vendor discrepancies.
• Ensure purchases are made within approved budgets and company procurement policies.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Graduate in any discipline; a qualification in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or Business Administration will be an advantage.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in Purchase / Procurement.
• Prior experience in the textile, garment, apparel, or fabric industry will be preferred.
• Good knowledge of textile materials, fabrics, trims, accessories, and supplier networks.
• Strong vendor management, negotiation, and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and basic purchase documentation.
• Experience working with ERP / Inventory Management systems will be an added advantage.
• Good communication, follow-up, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple purchase requirements and work within deadlines.
