Job Title : Junior Level / Assistant Manager - Purchase

Location : Thiruvanmiyur Office

Job Purpose:

To support the organizations procurement function by developing suppliers, executing purchasing strategies, and ensuring cost-effective, timely, and quality material supply. The role focuses on driving efficiency, reducing risks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen the supply chain and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities (R&R):

• Supplier Development

  Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers to meet business requirements.

• Purchasing Strategy

  Plan and execute cost-effective procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.

• Cost Optimization

  Track, analyze, and report procurement metrics to reduce expenses and improve efficiency.

• Market Analysis

  Forecast price movements and study market trends to ensure competitive purchasing.

• Risk Management

  Assess, manage, and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure business continuity.

• Cross-functional Coordination

  Work closely with Production, R&D, Quality, and Finance teams for smooth procurement operations.

• End-to-End Procurement

  Handle the complete purchasing cycle from PR (Purchase Requisition) to PO (Purchase Order) issuance.

• Vendor Negotiation

  Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines for best cost-benefit.

• Vendor Relationship Management

  Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely supply.

• Compliance & Documentation

  Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory requirements, and maintain proper records in SAP/ERP.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in SAP / ERP and MS Office tools.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, vendor development, and supply chain management.
• Exposure to packaging materials and industry practices (preferred).

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

• Education: Any Science Graduate / B.E. (Chemical or Mechanical)
• Preferred: Diploma in Packaging Management or Diploma in Materials Management
• Experience: 2 6 years (preferably in packaging or similar industries)
• Gender: Male only
• Location: Preference for local candidates
