Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Associate to manage the procurement of materials and components for Ground-Mounted & Rooftop Solar Projects . The ideal candidate will ensure timely sourcing, vendor coordination, cost optimization, and compliance with procurement policies to support project execution efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Procurement & Vendor Management: Oversee the procurement process for Bill of Materials (BoM) required for solar projects. Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, and ensure material availability within project timelines. Maintain strong vendor relationships to secure high-quality materials at competitive rates. Monitor market trends, pricing, and emerging technologies in the solar industry. Internal Purchase & Inventory Management: Manage procurement of office supplies, safety gear, tools, and other internal requirements. Ensure timely stock replenishment to prevent shortages and maintain smooth operations. Collaborate with teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize excess stock. Cost Optimization & Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers for better pricing, payment terms, and credit facilities . Analyze procurement costs and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards. Explore alternative materials and vendors to improve overall cost efficiency. Logistics & Compliance: Coordinate with logistics teams for material transportation and storage for high-volume projects. Ensure proper documentation of purchase orders, invoices, contracts, and compliance records . Adhere to company procurement policies and industry standards. Process Improvement: Identify areas for automation, supplier management enhancements, and inventory reduction . Stay updated with industry best practices to improve procurement efficiency. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field . 2-4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the solar or renewable energy sector . Strong knowledge of BoM procurement, supplier management, and cost negotiations . Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and procurement tools . Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
