Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Assistant to support the procurement and supply chain activities of our coco pith manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in sourcing raw materials (coconut husks, packaging materials, etc.), maintaining inventory levels, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely procurement to support uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in sourcing and purchasing raw materials like coconut husks, packaging supplies, pallets, fertilizers, etc.
• Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices.
• Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best supplier options.
• Issue purchase orders and track delivery schedules to ensure timely arrival of materials.
• Coordinate with vendors, transporters, and internal departments (production, stores, accounts).
• Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs to avoid production delays.
• Follow up with suppliers regarding shortages, delays, or quality issues.
• Assist in vendor evaluation and onboarding processes.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and budget guidelines.
• Prepare regular procurement reports for management review.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in purchasing/procurement, preferably in a manufacturing setup.
• Familiarity with coir/coco peat industry or agro-based raw materials is an advantage.
• Good negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems (Tally, SAP, Zoho, etc.)
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
