Job Description

Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company goals
Source, negotiate, and finalize contracts with suppliers and vendors
Ensure timely procurement of materials as per production or project requirements
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with stores and production teams
Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery
Control procurement costs and optimize budgets
Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory regulations
Prepare purchase orders and maintain procurement documentation
Coordinate with finance for payments and audits
Resolve supplier-related issues and discrepancies

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong negotiation and communication skills
Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management
Cost analysis and budgeting skills
Ability to manage multiple vendors and deadlines
Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and purchase software
Problem-solving and decision-making ability

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
5–8 years of experience in procurement or purchasing
Experience in manufacturing / construction / service industry preferred

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Cost savings achieved
On-time material delivery
Supplier performance ratings
Inventory turnover ratio
