Job Title – Purchase assistant
Qualification – B.EExperience – Min 3 yrs.Gender- MaleSalary – 30,000

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist in sourcing and purchasing construction materials such as cement, steel, aggregates, electrical and plumbing items, paints, etc.

• Collect quotations and compare rates, terms, and delivery timelines from vendors.

• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and maintain procurement records.

• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and stores to understand material requirements.

• Track and follow up on material deliveries and ensure timely receipt at construction sites.

• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and negotiate for better pricing and service terms.

• Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, material rejections, or invoice mismatches.

• Keep updated records of purchases, pricing, and vendor performance.

• Support the accounts department with purchase-related documentation for billing and payments.

• Monitor stock levels in coordination with storekeepers and suggest reorders accordingly.

Experience, Qualification and Desired skills

· Minimum 3 Years of Experience in a purchasing or procurement role within the construction Industry

. Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and procurement software/ERP systems (if any).

Strong negotiation, communication, and follow-up skills.

Good knowledge of common construction materials and their market availability.

Attention to detail and basic knowledge of inventory control.

Familiarity with site workflows, BOQs, and vendor billing procedures
