Qualifications - BE/BSc/BCom/Diploma in Engineering (preferred). - Minimum 2 4 years experience in engineering procurement. - Candidates exceeding 4 years experience will not be considered.
About the role - Own tender study, BOQ/BOM preparation, supplier coordination, and cost build-ups for MEP (Electrical/ELV/CCTV) packages. - Analyze tender documents and drawings for scope clarity. - Run RFQ process with OEMs/partners, evaluate proposals, and prepare bid comparisons. - Calculate direct/indirect costs and support technical commercial clarifications through to award. Key responsibilities - Study scope of work tender documents; prepare tender review sheet and basic design inputs. - Create estimation BOM and link it to client BOQ; populate BOQ rates and quantities. - Arrange/attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client clarification sessions. - Issue RFQs to vendors/subcontractors, follow-up, evaluate technically, and compile comparison sheets. - Reflect client bulletins/clarifications in supplier RFQs to ensure offers match final revisions. - Review client TCs and supplier offers; draft qualifications / exceptions / deviations impacting price/schedule. - Build tender cost estimates (man-hours, materials, construction equipment) based on location duration. - Compute direct costs by breaking down Material/Equipment/Manpower per project specs with BoE support. - Calculate/support indirects (engineering, supervision, management, logistics, taxes, permits, insurance). - Prepare commercial bid data: offer price, Client BOQ with rates quantities, detailed BOM costing. - Participate in cost variance analysis, invoicing inputs, and bid registers. - Contribute to tender schedule, equipment schedule, org chart, and Project Execution Plan/Method statements. - Draft responses to client technical/commercial clarifications and attend post-clarification meetings. What you ll need - Prior estimation experience in Electrical/Mechanical/ELV/CCTV packages for Indian customers. - Mandatory exposure to Indian Govt/PSU bids and processes. - Strong verbal written communication; proficiency in English. - Pro-active personality with strong mathematical/commercial calculation skills. - Ability to draft accurate evaluation comparison sheets. - Experience coordinating with OEMs, partners, and lead bidders. Good to have - Hands-on with AutoCAD/Bluebeam for take-offs and drawing reviews. - Advanced Excel and ERP/estimation tool familiarity.
- Prepare project commercial files (BOQ, Indent, PO format, BOM, DC, GRN, Stock, WIP, Billing format). - Coordinate with clients, vendors, and contractors on project matters. - Coordinate with project team and site engineers. - Supervise internal office staff and coordinators. - Manage email and letter communication with clients. - Check project design reports and documentation. - Attend weekly project meetings and prepare MM Planning reports. - Prepare reports detailing office activities and statistics for management review. - Hire and train internal office staff (coordinators, assistants). - Maintain registers, filing systems, and digital data on cloud platforms. - Manage vendor/supplier/contractor bill certifications. - Prepare and monitor project schedules, cash flow, and manage project tools/assets. - Coordinate with sites for stock and WIP tracking. - Prepare customer submissions (handover documents, reports, drawings). - Handle and manage web platforms for project works. Qualifications - Bachelor s/Graduate degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience. - Experience with cloud software, data systems, and statistics. - Prior experience in team management; proven leadership abilities. - Six Sigma training preferred. - Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and business process analysis skills. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate across teams. - Ability to maintain a positive, professional approach and use humor when appropriate.
