Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and facilitate engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences in alignment with Reggio Emilia, Montessori, and STEM principles.
  • Create a

    safe, emotionally responsive, and intellectually stimulating environment

    where children feel confident to explore, experiment, and innovate.
  • Facilitate project-based and maker-centered learning that integrates

    Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)

    with early literacy and creative arts.
  • Curate and maintain the

    Learning Studio and Makerspace

    , setting up rotating provocations, open-ended materials, and tools that encourage discovery, reflection, and problem-solving.
  • Observe, document, and assess childrens learning journeys through photographs, portfolios, and anecdotal records.
  • Encourage reflective thinking, questioning, and metacognitive awareness through play and collaborative exploration.
  • Collaborate with homeroom and subject teachers to connect studio experiences with the broader school curriculum.
  • Facilitate exhibitions, documentation panels, and open-studio events to engage parents and the larger school community in children’s learning.
  • Ensure safety, organization, and care of studio materials, digital tools, and resources.
  • Continuously update personal and professional knowledge on

    early childhood pedagogy, STEM education, and maker-centered learning.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum

    2–4 years of experience

    in early years or lower primary settings, preferably in Reggio-inspired, Montessori, or maker-based environments.
  • Strong understanding of

    Reggio Emilia philosophy, constructivist learning, and inquiry-led pedagogy.

  • Experience setting up or managing

    makerspaces or STEM labs

    for young learners.
  • Proficiency in observation, documentation, and reflective practices.
  • Creative mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.
