Job Description

As a Junior Proposal Specialist at Smiths Detection in Gurugram, Haryana, India, you will play a crucial role in supporting end-to-end bid and proposal development for global opportunities. Your responsibilities will include: - Supporting end-to-end bid and proposal development for global opportunities. - Preparing, formatting, and submitting high-quality proposal documents with strong version control. - Collaborating with bid managers, sales, architects, and SMEs to gather and structure technical/commercial content. - Ensuring accurate mapping of solutions to tender requirements, especially in digital networking. - Maintaining quality control through editing, proofreading, and document consistency. - Managing document workflows, proposal repositories, and version histories. - Improving proposal processes through templates, tools, and reusable content. - Supporting bid scheduling, planning, and document coordination. - Staying updated on digital trends in networking, cybersecurity, and security screening technologies. - Assisting in structuring proposals aligned with business goals and customer expectations. Qualifications: Education & Experience: - Bachelors degree in Engineering (mandatory). - 3-5 years of experience in proposal writing, bid support, or technical writing preferred. Technical Skills: - Understanding of cybersecurity, digital networking (TCP/IP, infrastructure, connectivity). - Knowledge of aviation/ports security screening tech is a plus. - Proficiency in MS Office; experience with automation tools and SharePoint preferred. - Strong content writing, coordination, and multi-bid handling experience. Soft Skills: - Excellent communication, attention to detail, and analytical skills. - Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines. - Collaborative, proactive, and strong in MS PowerPoint, Word; FrameMaker is an added advantage.
