Prompt Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and creative Prompt Engineer with 3+ years of experience in working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI systems. In this role, you will design and optimize high-quality prompts that drive intelligent, context-aware behavior in our AI applications. You'll work across teams to create conversational experiences, copilots, and autonomous agents that solve real-world problems. As a Prompt Engineer at Techvantage.ai, you will be responsible for designing, crafting, and iterating high-performing prompts for use in generative AI systems, including chatbots, assistants, and intelligent agents. You will collaborate with AI/ML engineers, UX designers, and product teams to build seamless, human-like experiences powered by LLMs. Your role will involve evaluating and optimizing prompts using model output analysis, human feedback, and automated testing. You will apply prompt engineering techniques such as few-shot learning, chain-of-thought reasoning, function calling, and tool integration. Additionally, you will build and maintain prompt libraries, templates, and best practices documentation while monitoring LLM performance, identifying weaknesses, and fine-tuning prompt logic for specific use cases. To excel in this role, you should have 3+ years of professional experience in prompt engineering, NLP, conversational AI, or a closely related field. A strong working knowledge of LLMs (OpenAI GPT-4, Claude, LLaMA, etc.) and prompt tuning techniques is essential. You should demonstrate proven experience in designing and optimizing prompts for real-world applications, possess excellent analytical thinking and language structuring skills, and be proficient with Python, API integrations, and tools for working with generative AI models. Experience working in cross-functional teams on AI-driven product development and a strong understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and ethical implications are also required. Preferred qualifications for this role include experience with AI toolchains such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate), a background in linguistics, computational linguistics, cognitive science, or HCI, familiarity with fine-tuning or reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF), and experience designing prompts for multi-modal AI systems (text + image, speech, etc.).
