Job Description

Project & Production Coordinator – PEB

Department:

Projects / Production

Reports To:

Project Manager / Production Head

Job Purpose:

To coordinate, monitor, and support all activities related to project execution and production for Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB), ensuring timely delivery, cost control, quality compliance, and smooth communication between clients, design, production, logistics, and erection teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Coordination

  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and monitoring project activities.
  • Coordinate with design, detailing, and engineering teams to ensure drawings are issued on time.
  • Track approvals, shop drawings, and material release schedules.
  • Communicate regularly with clients/consultants for project updates and requirements.
  • Maintain project documentation, status reports, and progress trackers.

2. Production Coordination

  • Liaise with production teams to align fabrication schedules with project timelines.
  • Track material availability, procurement status, and ensure timely issue of raw materials.
  • Ensure production output meets quality standards and project specifications.
  • Coordinate dispatch schedules with logistics for timely delivery to site.

3. Site Coordination

  • Follow up with erection/installation teams for site progress and challenges.
  • Ensure site teams receive required drawings, material, and support on time.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance (if applicable) and escalate issues.

4. Monitoring & Reporting

  • Maintain project dashboards, progress charts, and delay analysis.
  • Highlight risks, bottlenecks, and deviations to the Project/Production Manager.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports for management and clients.

5. General

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company policies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in project execution and production processes.
  • Facilitate smooth communication between all departments involved in project execution.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of PEB fabrication, erection, and project execution processes.
  • Good understanding of production planning and scheduling.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), MS Project/Primavera preferred.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities under pressure.
  • Team player with client-handling capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma/Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
  • 3–6 years’ experience in PEB industry (project coordination, production planning, or execution).
  • Exposure to project management tools/software will be an advantage.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
