Project Manager - Test Rig

Overview:

In this role, the Principal Engineer Projects will be responsible for leading and managing design and development of Test Equipment (Rigs) for Actuation Systems. Shall work alongside the project Lead for successful execution of a project.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Project Delivery – Plan, lead and execute the test rig projects ensuring adherence to schedule, cost and quality.
• Budget & Resource management – develop and manage the test rig project budget, forecast and resource plans. Feeding into the IMS owned by the programme manager.
• Develop a project plan in Microsoft project application and monitor the progress of a project through various project metrics.
• Establish and lead project review cadence at all levels of organizational hierarchy.
• Governance & Reporting – provide regular project status updates, order/delivery tracking, manage change control and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with team members, project lead (IPTL), counterparts, manufacturing, customers, and suppliers to execute programs/projects with Synergy.
• Support Supply chain team to meet procurement targets for the project.
• Stakeholder Management – liaise with the Programme manager, engineering teams, operations, procurement, and external suppliers to align on objectives, resolve issues and manage order placements
• Have broad knowledge of Aerospace standards/procedures/protocols to meet customer requirements.
• Responsible for tactical/operational execution of day-to-day operations.
• Work with project lead to assign technical resources and resolve technical issues.
• Drive predictable project performance and enhance productivity.

Basic and preferred Qualifications:

• 11 to 13 years of Industry experience in executing, leading and managing projects related to electronics product/systems.
• BE/B-tech/MTech in Electronics/electricaldiscipline
• Strong Project/program management skills.
• Strong communication, writing and decision-making skills along with interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge/understanding of product qualification based on DO-160 or equivalent industry standard.
• Test Rigs design and development for Systems, Qualification and unit level testing experience is preferred.
• Experience with Test Rig Suppliers is preferred.
• Awareness of Agile/Scrum is an added advantage.
• ALM/PLM Kanban method would be advantage
