Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to lead home interior projects from conception through completion. This role involves full ownership of vendor management, project scheduling, site installation, quality assurance, customer communication, and cost control. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality while maintaining strong customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management:
  • Source, evaluate, and manage vendors and subcontractors for interior design and installation work.
  • Negotiate contracts, track vendor performance, and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Resolve vendor-related issues promptly to avoid project delays.
  • Project Scheduling:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules covering design, procurement, and installation phases.
  • Coordinate activities between vendors, internal teams, and site personnel to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Monitor progress regularly, adjusting schedules as needed and communicating changes to stakeholders.
  • Site Installation & Quality Control:
  • Oversee site installation activities ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship quality and adherence to project plans.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues proactively, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Customer Communication:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide timely updates on project status, manage expectations, and address concerns professionally.
  • Facilitate walkthroughs and final handovers, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Cost Management:
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and approve vendor invoices.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or timelines.
  • Maintain financial control and ensure projects stay within budget.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Interior Design, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing home interior projects with direct responsibility for vendor coordination, site supervision, and budgeting.
  • Strong understanding of interior design processes, materials, and installation techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for customer and vendor interactions.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Trello, Asana).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.

Preferred:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
  • Experience working on high-end residential interior projects.
  • Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD or SketchUp
