Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

1) Project Planning & Execution:

- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for power projects.

- Coordinate engineering design, procurement of equipment, construction activities, and testing/commissioning.

- Identify and mitigate project risks proactively.

2) Technical Oversight:

- Ensure compliance with industry codes, safety standards, and client specifications.

- Monitor engineering deliverables and technical documentation.

- Resolve technical issues promptly in coordination with design and site teams.

3) Procurement & Vendor Management:

- Oversee procurement of electrical equipment, transformers, switchgear, and related components.

- Evaluate and select suppliers/subcontractors, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.

- Manage contracts, negotiations, and vendor performance.

4) Construction & Site Management:

- Supervise site execution activities, ensuring alignment with project plans.

- Monitor progress, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols.

- Facilitate coordination between civil, electrical, and mechanical teams.

5) Testing & Commissioning:

- Plan and manage pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.

- Verify system performance through testing procedures before project handover.

- Ensure documentation for handover to client is complete and accurate.

6) Financial & Reporting:

- Track project budgets, expenditures, and cost control measures.

- Prepare progress reports for management and clients.

- Ensure timely billing and collection milestones are achieved.

7) Team Leadership & Coordination:

- Lead multidisciplinary project teams across EPCT functions.

- Conduct regular review meetings with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.

- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Education:

1) Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering.

2) Masters degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Power Systems Engineering.

Experience:

8-10 years of experience in managing EPCT power projects, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (8 years if Master's and 10 years if Bachelor's).
