Project Management Engineering

Role Overview: As a Project Manager Engineering and / or Construction & Commissioning at Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC), your main responsibility is to coordinate all engineering activities in the assigned project. You will ensure that activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are efficiently and cost-effectively executed, in accordance with the contract specifications, quality standards, and safety & integrity requirements. Your role plays a vital part in the Power Grid business Power Up transformation program. Key Responsibilities: - Drive the technical solution in coordination with other departments such as System Engineering, Primary/Mechanical Engineering, Secondary/Electrical Engineering, and support Tender Manager/ Project Manager for the assigned Project/Tender. - Evaluate risks and opportunities, strategize mitigation of engineering disciplines. - Interact with customers, contractors, suppliers, attend project/Tender meetings, and present all technical aspects of project/Tender assignments. - Collaborate and network with engineering colleagues within the organization, sharing best practices across different projects and disciplines. - Evaluate the overall cost of the engineering disciplines and seek approval from the Business Unit Head. - Utilize standard processes, tools, and techniques, ensuring that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements. Qualifications Required: - B.E./B. Tech/M. Tech with a minimum of 8-10 Years of Experience in any Engineering Discipline (i.e., Systems Engineering, Primary & Secondary Engineering). - Experience with Medium to High Voltage Projects in Power System Substations Domain. - Knowledge of Power Systems equipment and their purpose such as Power Transformers, Capacitors, Reactors, Instrument Transformer and measuring equipment, Circuit Breakers, Disconnectors, and Surge Arrestors. - Familiarity with International standards (i.e., IEEE/IEC/GIGRE).
