Project Management Engineering

Role Overview: As a Project Manager Engineering and / or Construction & Commissioning at Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC), your main focus will be on coordinating all engineering activities within assigned projects. You will ensure that engineering disciplines are efficiently and cost-effectively executed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. Your role will involve discipline engineering and design, planning, resource coordination, and risk assessments. Key Responsibilities: - Drive the technical solution in coordination with other departments such as System Engineering, Primary/Mechanical Engineering, Secondary/Electrical Engineering, and provide support to Tender Manager/ Project Manager. - Evaluate risks and opportunities, strategize mitigation for engineering disciplines. - Interact with customers, contractors, suppliers, attend project/Tender meetings, and present all technical aspects of assignments. - Collaborate and network with engineering colleagues, share best practices across projects and disciplines. - Evaluate the overall cost of engineering disciplines and seek approval from Business Unit Head. - Utilize standard processes, tools, and techniques to ensure compliance with safety regulations and contractual requirements. Qualification Required: - B.E./B. Tech/M. Tech with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in any Engineering Discipline (Systems Engineering, Primary & Secondary Engineering). - Experience with Medium to High Voltage Projects in Power System Substations Domain. - Knowledge of Power Systems equipment and their purposes such as Power Transformers, Capacitors, Reactors, Instrument Transformers, Circuit Breakers, Disconnectors, and Surge Arrestors. - Familiarity with International standards (IEEE/IEC/GIGRE).
