The Position

About Roche

Roche is embarking on a strategic initiative to extend its global presence by strengthening its Global Strategic Hubs, with Pune identified as a crucial location for this expansion. The Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) Function ambition is to establish a globally connected Specialist Services Hub in Pune, designed to seamlessly complement and enhance our existing global Subchapter structures. This hub is dedicated to delivering consistent, scalable project management services by leveraging the diverse skills and perspectives available across our global network.

What You'll Do

As a Project Management Specialist, you will focus on budget management and cross-functional enablement to ensure reliable, efficient delivery. Your responsibilities will include:
Budget Management

• Drive Operations compliance and excellence in planning and monitoring

• Conduct detailed analysis, including variance, contingency, and planning accuracy.

• Strengthen collaboration between Finance and Product teams to enhance data accuracy and resource visibility.

• Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare and present financial dashboards and reports for decision-making.

• Identify and implement process improvements to increase transparency and efficiency.

Data & Systems

• Aggregate and consolidate budget planning data across complex structures.

• Enhance tools and systems to support planning, forecasting, and governance.

• Collaborate with IT, Finance, and global PPM teams to create value through better data use.

Enablement & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Support the formal establishment of projects within Roche's governance structures and systems.

• Act as a central coordinator to align diverse stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Program Teams, Global Project Managers) and prevent missed requirements.

• Improve cross-team alignment to support holistic RIS (Roche Information Solution) planning.

• Act as a trusted local anchor in Pune, scaling project management best practices and enabling collaboration across global sites (USA ? Pune ? EU).

Experience and Qualifications:

• Significant experience in a similar role (5+ years)

• Proven ability to manage projects from initiation to completion.

• Strong analytical skills, ideally with hands-on experience in data engineering (consolidation, processing) knowledge of data science tools is a strong plus.

• Familiarity with budget management, financial tracking, and resource allocation. Experience with quality management, compliance, or risk management is advantageous.

• Existing Roche knowledge or experience working in large global organizations is highly valued.

• Experience working in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment is highly valued

• Prior experience collaborating with global teams is a plus
