Job Description: We are now looking for an experienced and qualified candidate with the main mission to work as Project Leader - Thermal Management System Design Your main responsibilities in this role will be: Lead the thermal design, analysis, and validation of thermal systems and components for a wide range of products, including but not limited to electronics, industrial systems, and consumer products. Develop thermal management strategies to ensure the safe and optimal operation of electrification products under various environmental conditions. Utilize advanced simulation tools (e.g., Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Finite Element Analysis (FEA)) to analyze and optimize thermal performance. Supervise, guide, and mentor junior engineers in the execution of thermal analysis, testing, and design optimization. Select appropriate HVAC components (compressors, condensers, Chillers, Pumps, Heaters, etc.) based on heat load calculations. Conduct system-level testing, validation, and commissioning to verify thermal performance and compliance with specifications. Develop and test thermal logics and simulate thermal models for analysis and optimization. Lead efforts in the selection and integration of heat dissipation components such as heat sinks, fans, and thermal interface materials. Ensure designs align with international standards, such as SAE J2929, IEC 62660 and other relevant guidelines. Understand battery and charger electrical architecture to calculate heat loss. Lead the prototyping of thermal systems and oversee the integration into battery pack assemblies. Stay current with the latest advancements in thermal technologies and trends, applying new techniques and innovations to improve thermal management in products. Support manufacturing teams with design inputs to ensure scalability and cost-effectiveness. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the team. Communicate project updates, risks, and outcomes to senior management and other stakeholders. Addressing the customer queries and handling customer feedback Set an example to junior engineers in the team coach them as required. Onsite support during proto-typing and testing Reporting to the Business Manager\Team Manager in a timely and efficient manner Experience requirements: Proficiency in 1D thermal system modeling will be an added advantage Strong understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics. Experience in thermal system modeling, analysis, and design for battery packs and related systems. Experience in battery thermal testing and diagnostics, including instrumentation for temperature monitoring and validation. Familiarity with Battery Management Systems (BMS) and integration of thermal control systems.
