Job Description: Project Lead – QA/QC (Quality & QMS Auditor)

Location: Hyderabad
Department: Quality Control – Third Party Quality InspectionExperience Required: 14+ years in both Civil and MEP QA/QC works, preferably across residential high-rise and conventional construction projects

Role Purpose

The Project Lead – QA/QC will be responsible for leading and managing quality control and quality management system (QMS) functions across multiple residential Mivan and conventional projects, covering both Civil and MEP works. The role includes strategic QC planning, team deployment, auditing, reporting, client coordination, and ensuring compliance with IS codes, project specifications, and quality standards. The position requires strong QMS auditing expertise and practical site-level knowledge of Civil and MEP quality inspections.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and allocate QA/QC activities across multiple projects, ensuring smooth coordination and effective execution.
• Monitor Civil inspections including shuttering, reinforcement, concreting, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing works, along with MEP inspections covering electrical, plumbing, drainage, fire-fighting, HVAC, and related building services.
• Ensure Civil and MEP works comply with applicable IS codes, approved drawings, project specifications, ITP/MTP requirements, method statements, and quality procedures.
• Review, verify, and consolidate QC reports (daily/weekly/monthly) for internal use and client submission.
• Plan and manage manpower schedules and identify technical support needs for ongoing projects.
• Represent the QA/QC team in client kick-off meetings, technical discussions, and progress reviews.
• Identify quality lapses, raise NCRs, and drive corrective and preventive actions to closure.
• Conduct internal quality audits, ensure QMS compliance, and support external audit processes.
• Mentor, train, and develop QC engineers to enhance technical and operational capabilities.
• Ensure adherence to ISO standards, QMS protocols, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as the primary point of contact for client coordination, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of quality issues.

Review MEP installation and testing records, including electrical systems, plumbing and drainage, fire-fighting systems, HVAC, earthing, and relevant functional tests.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong background in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and auditing with hands-on experience in ISO/QMS compliance.
• Strong technical expertise in Mivan formwork and conventional residential construction.
• Proven expertise in client coordination and team handling, with the ability to lead multi-site operations.
• Must have handled QA/QC operations for civil projects across high-rise residential developments.
• Excellent knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITP/MTP, documentation, and NCR handling.
• Strong leadership, analytical, reporting, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to maintain quality standards while managing tight project timelines.

Mandatory:

Strong working knowledge of MEP QA/QC practices for residential high-rise projects, including electrical, plumbing, drainage, fire-fighting, and HVAC systems.

Basic MEP knowledge: Ability to read and interpret MEP layouts, shop drawings, coordination drawings, and specifications; identify common installation and workmanship defects.

Understanding of basic electrical checks such as cable/conduit routing, panel installation, earthing, and continuity/insulation testing documentation.

Understanding of plumbing and drainage checks, including pipe routing, slope, supports, pressure/leak testing, and sanitary fixture installation.

Basic awareness of HVAC and fire-fighting installations, testing records, and coordination with Civil works.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (mandatory; relevant engineering qualification with strong Civil and MEP QA/QC exposure).
• Minimum 14+ years of experience in QA/QC covering both Civil and MEP works, preferably on high-rise residential projects (Mivan and conventional construction).
• Prior third-party inspection experience is an added advantage.
• QMS/ISO auditor certification is preferred (if applicable).

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,600,000.00 per year
