Project Interface Manager

The Project Engineering Manager (PEM) at HITACHI ENERGY TECHNOLOGY SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, plays a crucial role in leading the project engineering team towards successful delivery of all project requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, health, safety, and environmental requirements, financial targets, and project schedules. Your primary responsibilities include initiating, planning, managing, and controlling the engineering scope of complex projects. You will coordinate tasks, resources, stakeholders, and various engineering aspects while managing conflicts, making trade-offs, and evaluating resources to ensure optimal progress. Maintaining a clear project status, making decisions, setting priorities, and influencing time, cost, and scope are essential aspects of your role. As the PEM, you will have full accountability for the engineering segment of Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) projects. Reporting to a Project Director (PD) within the project, you will also collaborate with Project Engineering Managers (PEMs) and Project Interface Managers (PIMs). To qualify for this position, you should hold a B.Tech/M.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering with 5-15 years of overall experience and at least 5 years of Project Management experience. A strong understanding of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems, Project Management, and Design software is necessary. Additionally, you should possess teamwork, analytical, and communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality digital solutions are crucial aspects of the role. Any experience with HVDC systems and/or PMI/PMP certifications would be advantageous for this position.
