Project Engineer/Sr. Project Engineer - CAE (FEA with ANSYS Skills)

You should have user level knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) including preparation, post-processing, and meshing, as well as understanding the basics of FEA. Proficiency in Ansys Workbench tools such as Design Modeler and Ansys Mechanical, as well as familiarity with CREO/space claim, GT Suite, AVL, and Simlab tool, is required. Clear comprehension of engineering concepts and fundamentals such as Finite Element Method (FEM), Strength of Materials (SOM), Fatigue, Vibration, IC engine basics, and material properties is essential. Working knowledge of FEA for 3D components is preferred. Experience in the Automotive domain, particularly with block, head, exhaust manifolds, oil pan, valve cover, intake manifold, gear train, valvetrain, crankshaft, power cylinder components, is advantageous. You should be able to work independently on low complexity tasks, handle medium to complex projects, and make decisions effectively. Proficiency in Static, Fatigue, thermal fatigue, DBJ, Modal analysis, and Sealing analysis is required. You must possess skills in preprocessing, post-processing, results sanity check, and report preparation. Being able to resolve model convergence issues independently with minimal support and draw conclusions from analysis results are important. Additionally, you should be capable of formulating design improvement suggestions, working with component owners for quick analysis to design iterations, and presenting analysis results in Design Reviews with results interpretation and physics. Preferred advanced techniques and tool knowledge include ANSYS Advance with the use of macros, non-linear materials, convergence, ACT usage, contact algorithms, fatigue damage, Super elements, Sub modelling, mode frontier techniques, optimization, etc. Reviewing other projects and collaborating with team members effectively are also expected. Educational Qualification required is B. E. / M. Tech (optional), with 1.5 to 3 years of experience in the field.,
