Project Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities Project Engineer (Automation):-

• Execute and support work on

  PLC control panels

  , including wiring verification, panel inspection, and integration of field instruments.
• Handle

  basic industrial instrumentation

  such as pressure transmitters, flow meters, level sensors, control valves, and actuators.
• Configure and support

  AC servo drives, VFDs, DOL starters, and Star-Delta starters

  , ensuring proper electrical and control interfacing.
• Develop, modify, and test

  basic to intermediate PLC programs

  as per project requirements, including debugging and documentation.
• Assist in the design, configuration, and testing of

  HMI/SCADA systems

  , including screen development, alarms, data logging, and operator controls.
• Support

  installation, testing, and commissioning

  of automation systems at customer sites.
• Visit customer sites (STP/WTP and other industrial locations) as required for

  installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service support

  .
• Prepare and maintain

  project documentation

  , including I/O lists, wiring modifications, commissioning records, and test reports.
• Assist in

  panel-level and field-level testing

  , including loop checking, I/O verification, panel energization, and plant start-up activities.
• Identify and resolve

  basic technical issues

  during installation or commissioning, and coordinate with senior engineers for complex problems.
• Communicate effectively with

  clients and internal teams

  for site progress updates, requirement clarifications, and coordination.
• Work

  independently on assigned tasks

  and provide support to senior engineers on larger or complex project activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• Basic understanding of

  electrical control panels

  , including wiring, interlocks, DOL starters, Star-Delta starters, and protection circuits.
• Familiarity with

  industrial instrumentation devices

  such as pressure, flow, and level instruments, valves, and actuators.
• Exposure to

  basic to intermediate PLC programming

  and automation components such as

  PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFDs, and servo drives

  .
• Hands-on ability in

  troubleshooting

  control panels, wiring, instruments, and automation systems.
• Good

  communication skills

  with the ability to coordinate effectively with project and service teams.
• Willingness to

  learn, adapt, and work at customer sites

  under guidance from senior engineers.
• Ability to work

  independently on small tasks

  and support team members on larger project activities.
