Description
As a Piping Design Engineer, your role involves utilizing your sound knowledge on ASME Codes to perform engineering calculations for piping design. You will be responsible for preparing piping isometrics based on layout drawings and referencing P&IDs for piping design. Your tasks will also include IBR calculations, reading P&ID to prepare piping 3D, understanding CAESAR II reports, extracting BOM from isometric drawings, and creating piping layouts. Additionally, you should be familiar with Navis model and clash tests, and have the ability to prepare P&ID based on input. Furthermore, you will be expected to have knowledge of equipment creation based on Equipment GA. Key Responsibilities: - Sound knowledge on ASME Codes - piping - Perform Engineering calculations for piping Design like pipe thickness and size - Preparation of Piping Isometrics based on Layout drawing - Preparation of Piping Design by referring P&ID - IBR calculations for pipe design - Ability to read P & ID and based on that prepare Piping 3D - Ability to read CAESAR II report - Extraction of BOM from Isometric drawing - Preparation of Piping Layout - Familiar with Navis model and clash test - Preparation of P&ID based on input - Knowledge of equipment creation on the basis of Equipment GA Qualifications Required: - 2-4 years of experience in piping design and engineering - Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or associated branches - Experience working in the oil and gas industry - Strong understanding of industry codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.) - Experience with 3D CAD software such as Smartplant 3D, Spoolgen, Cad Works, AutoCAD - Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Fluency in English - Knowledge of excel, word, and PowerPoint - Knowledge of working on CAESAR II (will be given preference) Location: Pune, Maharashtra As a Piping Design Engineer, your role involves utilizing your sound knowledge on ASME Codes to perform engineering calculations for piping design.
