Reporting To: Project Manager

The Design Coordinator will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and monitoring all design-related activities for hotel construction and fit-out projects. This role ensures seamless collaboration between architects, consultants, operators/brands, contractors, and internal project teams to achieve timely approvals, compliance, and high-quality design execution.

- Coordinate with architects, consultants (civil, MEP, structural, interior), and vendors for timely submission and approval of drawings.

- Review design drawings, GFCs, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and brand standards.

- Facilitate resolution of design discrepancies, RFIs, and technical issues with relevant stakeholders.

- Liaise with the hotel brand/operators design & technical services team for approvals and compliance.

- Ensure adherence to brand standards for guestrooms, public areas, BOH areas, kitchens, and service spaces.

- Track and manage brand reviews, comments, approvals, and compliance reports.

- Manage and maintain all design documentation, drawings, and revisions.

- Prepare design status reports, tracker updates, and transmittals.

- Coordinate statutory drawings and approvals as required.

- Assist in developing design schedules aligned with overall project timelines.

- Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and contractors to ensure design intent is executed on-site.

- Conduct site visits to verify design implementation and quality standards.

- Collaborate with civil, MEP, interior, purchase, and QS teams for seamless design execution.

- Support material selection, mock-up reviews, and value engineering exercises.

- Review vendor/shop drawings for joinery, kitchens, signage, lighting, furniture (FF&E), and MEP coordination.

- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture / Interior Design / Civil Engineering (preferred).

- Minimum [2-3] years of experience in hotel construction or hospitality projects.

- Strong understanding of hotel design standards, layouts, and back-of-house planning.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, and project tracking tools.

- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to manage multiple consultants and design packages simultaneously.

- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

- Good interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset.
