Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Coordination

  • Assist in preparing project plans, timelines, and schedules.
  • Coordinate activities between design, production, purchase, quality, and assembly teams.
  • Monitor project milestones and highlight delays or risks.
  • Support project kickoff meetings and internal review meetings.

2. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain project documents, drawings, minutes of meetings (MoMs), and change requests.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly project status reports for management.
  • Track project deliverables and ensure documentation is complete and updated.

3. Procurement & Vendor Follow-up

  • Coordinate with the Purchase Department for timely procurement of project-specific materials.
  • Follow up with vendors for delivery timelines and resolve material delays.
  • Track material inward status to ensure no production stoppage.

4. Production & Assembly Coordination

  • Work closely with production planning (PPC) to align machine manufacturing schedules.
  • Ensure timely availability of BOM, drawings, and specifications to production.
  • Follow up with fabrication, machining, assembly, and testing departments.

5. Client Coordination (Internal/External)

  • Share project updates with clients as per timelines.
  • Coordinate for approval of drawings, technical details, and change orders.
  • Support the project manager during client visits, FAT, and inspections.

6. Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards during each project stage.
  • Track NCRs, rework, and deviations and escalate where needed.

7. Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify project bottlenecks early and communicate them.
  • Assist in implementing corrective actions and monitoring progress.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of mechanical/electrical engineering concepts.
  • Familiarity with machine manufacturing processes (fabrication, machining, assembly).
  • Knowledge of project management tools (MS Project, Excel, ERP).
  • Ability to read engineering drawings (added advantage).

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication & coordination abilities.
  • Excellent follow-up and task-tracking skills.
  • Problem-solving attitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work under deadlines.
