Project Controlling Analyst

Role Overview: You will be responsible for analyzing business performance against budget and forecast, benchmarking key performance indicators, and partnering with local controllers to understand financial drivers. Additionally, you will prepare financial analysis for various scenarios, analyze overhead absorption, track capital expenditure, analyze inventories and cashflow, support month-end closure activities, review P&L and B/S, and perform activities related to internal controls and SOX audit. You will also support financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Key Responsibilities: - Perform analysis of business performance versus budget and forecast. - Benchmark key performance indicators with external and internal peers. - Partner with Local controllers to analyze financial performance and identify trends. - Prepare financial analysis for various scenarios and sensitivity analysis. - Analyze overhead under/over absorption to identify root causes. - Analyze Product/Customer profitability. - Track and analyze Capital Expenditure budget and actual spent on a monthly basis. - Analyze inventories, Net Working Capital (NWC), and Cashflow. - Support month-end closure activities for financial accuracy. - Review P&L and B/S and propose necessary corrections. - Analyze monthly data for MIS and present it in a meaningful format. - Perform activities related to internal controls and SOX audit. - Compare monthly/quarterly MIS data with benchmarks and provide comments. - Support in preparing financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting. - Validate financial data accuracy through reconciliation and exception review. - Undertake any other Ad Hoc tasks based on urgency and requirement. Qualifications Required: - Up to 4 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, preferably with a manufacturing background. - Bachelor's degree in accounting with CMA/CA/MBA. - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with independent problem-solving capability. - Effective communication and presentation skills. - Hands-on experience in SAP FICO, including CO-PA, and understanding of modules like SD, PP, MM, PS. - Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
