Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team in the civil infrastructure sector. The Project Coordinator will support the successful execution of projects related to infrastructure development, including roads, bridges, utilities, and other public works. The ideal candidate will assist in coordinating project activities, ensuring timely delivery, and supporting the management of resources, budgets, and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination:

    Assist the Project Manager in day-to-day project management tasks, including scheduling, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and maintaining project documentation.
  • Documentation Management:

    Prepare and manage project documentation such as contracts, change orders, permits, RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and progress reports.
  • Team Collaboration:

    Coordinate with internal teams (Construction, Procurement, Accounts & Finance etc.) and external vendors, contractors, and government agencies to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Budget Monitoring:

    Help monitor and track project budgets, ensuring costs are kept within scope and identifying potential overruns.
  • Progress Reporting:

    Track and report project status to senior management and clients, providing updates on milestones, risks, and deadlines.
  • Procurement Support:

    Assist in the procurement process, including preparing purchase orders, sourcing materials, and managing logistics for project supplies.
  • Risk Management:

    Monitor project risks and assist in identifying mitigation strategies to address potential delays, cost overruns, or other challenges.
  • Compliance & Safety:

    Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality control measures during project execution.
  • Client Liaison:

    Serve as a point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication regarding project scope, timelines, and deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    Minimum 2 years of experience in a project coordination or project management role within the civil infrastructure industry. Total 8-10 years experience.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Primavera).
  • Knowledge of construction and civil infrastructure processes, codes, and standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Certifications (preferred):

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) certification.

Working Conditions:

  • This role may involve site visits and occasional travel to project locations.
  • Ability to work in both office and field settings.
