Project Assistant - Digitization

Role Overview: You will be joining the Wipro Story Project as a Project Assistant with a focus on digitization and documentation of materials from the Wipro Archives. Your role will involve supporting the team in various project activities and initiatives, including the creation of content for social media and outreach purposes. As a full-time, in-office permanent position, you should be prepared for occasional travel within India for research and material collection, which may involve working in dusty environments and lifting heavy objects. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the Wipro Story Project staff in digitizing, documenting, and organizing existing collections, as well as acquiring, documenting, and digitizing new collections. - Collaborate with the team to develop material for physical and digital exhibits, social media campaigns, and other project initiatives. - Work with design and technology partners to create approved content for interactives and permanent galleries. - Support exhibition walkthroughs and contribute to outreach and learning resource initiatives of the Wipro Story Project. Qualifications Required: - Hold a postgraduate degree in any discipline, preferably humanities. A professional degree or equivalent in photography, digitization, or archiving would be desirable. - Demonstrate an interest in history, particularly business history, and an understanding of the importance of archives and museums. - Possess at least three years of experience in creating and converting digital materials, including photographs, documents, audio recordings, and video content. - Have proven knowledge of industry best practices for preserving digital content. - Exhibit high IT literacy, ability to work effectively in a team, and strong written and verbal communication skills.,
