Programmer

You are a precision-driven CNC Programmer with a passion for working with cutting-edge international tooling standards. A leading Canadian Tool & Die manufacturer, renowned for its innovation and precision, is seeking to expand its remote programming team in Bangalore. This rare opportunity allows you to collaborate with global experts and utilize your CNC programming skills on international projects based in India. As a skilled and experienced CNC Programmer, your primary responsibility will be to support high-precision mold manufacturing operations remotely. You will closely collaborate with the Canadian tooling and design teams, focusing on programming 3-axis and 3+2 axis (5-axis) machines utilizing Autodesk PowerMill. Your key responsibilities will include programming CNC machines, developing efficient toolpaths for various operations, interpreting blueprints and 3D CAD models, applying advanced tooling knowledge, utilizing PowerShape for surface modeling, and maintaining regular communication with Canadian supervisors via video calls, email, and documentation. Additionally, you will be expected to work independently, troubleshoot machining issues, and adapt to design changes effectively. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Tool Engineering, possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in 3-axis CNC programming and at least 2 years in 3+2 (5-axis) programming. Proficiency in Autodesk PowerMill is a must, while knowledge of PowerShape is considered a bonus. Hands-on experience in mold-making/tool & die workflows and excellent communication and time management skills for remote collaboration are highly desired.
