Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Curriculum Development

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Law and allied disciplines.

• Develop, review, and update curricula in accordance with national and international legal standards.

• Design assessments that encourage critical thinking, legal reasoning, and practical application.

Research & Innovation

• Conduct high-quality research in core and emerging areas of law, leading to publications in reputed journals.

• Apply for research funding and collaborate on funded legal projects and policy research.

• Guide student research, dissertations, and legal aid projects at both UG and PG levels.

Student Engagement & Mentorship

• Mentor and guide students on academic, career, and legal research opportunities.

• Encourage student participation in moot courts, debates, legal writing competitions, and internships.

• Support students in bar exam preparation, placements, and advocacy skills development.

Departmental & Institutional Contributions

• Contribute to academic planning, quality enhancement initiatives, and strategic development of the School of Law.

• Organize and participate in seminars, legal awareness programs, and academic conferences.

• Build partnerships with legal institutions, law firms, judiciary, and NGOs.

Continuous Professional Development

• Participate in faculty development programs and stay updated with legal reforms, case law, and jurisprudential trends.

• Promote interdisciplinary collaboration and a culture of ethical legal practice and lifelong learning.

Qualifications & Experience

• Ph.D. in Law or equivalent (preferred); Masters degree with significant academic or professional legal experience may also be considered.

• Proven record of publications in peer-reviewed law journals and legal commentaries.

• Familiarity with contemporary legal issues, emerging areas like Cyber Law, Environmental Law, IPR, etc.

• Strong communication skills, academic leadership, and student mentoring capabilities.
