FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

i. Essential:

a) Master’s Degree in a related discipline with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade or Cumulative Grade Point Average in a defined scale, with good academic record. Provided that LL.M course with one year duration introduced by the UGC and are allowed to be one of the minimum essential qualification for Assistant Professorship as at present, shall not be considered as one of the essential qualification unless supported by and supplemented with M.Phil degree.

b)The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or SLET/SET accredited by UGC.

ii. Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable :

a) Ph.D. preferred with 2 years of experience.

b) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency.

c) Published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work in the peer-reviewed or UGC listed Journals. Published work may include books, Research Periodical, Ph.D. guidance, Consultancy projects, and patent filed.

Pay Scales: As per UGC guidelines; but will not be a constraint for the right candidate.
