Position Overview

Production Support Consultant

The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in production support, troubleshooting, incident management, and a passion for applying engineering principles to operations.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–4 years of experience

  in Production Support / Application Support / Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across

  Linux/Unix

  and

  Windows

  environments.
• Hands-on experience with

  cloud platforms

  (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency in

  scripting languages

  (Python, Shell, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Experience with

  monitoring & logging tools

  (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, etc.).
• Familiarity with

  DevOps practices

  and tools (Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker).
• Understanding of

  ITIL processes

  – incident, problem, and change management.
• Good knowledge of

  SQL

  and ability to troubleshoot application/database-related issues.
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide

  L2/L3 production support

  for critical business applications, ensuring uptime, reliability, and performance.
• Monitor, triage, and resolve incidents within defined SLAs; perform

  root cause analysis (RCA)

  and implement permanent fixes.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks using

  scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell, etc.)

  and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Build, enhance, and maintain

  monitoring, alerting, and logging systems

  (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Datadog).
• Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth deployments and production stability.
• Implement and follow

  SRE principles

  such as error budgets, SLIs, SLOs, and blameless postmortems.
• Participate in

  on-call rotation

  , incident bridges, and business continuity activities.
• Continuously improve

  deployment pipelines (CI/CD)

  to enhance reliability and reduce downtime.
• Document production issues, knowledge base articles, and operational runbooks.
