We have been mandated by a large conglomerate into Stainless steel business for the below mentioned role.

Position Name : Engineer / Sr engineer - Wet Block / Fine Wire Production Supervisor ( Wire Plant )

Location : Boisar

Qualification : Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production Engineering.

Experience : 3 to 8 Years

Job Purpose:

fine stainless steel wires

Key Responsibilities:

Production & Operations

• Supervise

  wet block wire drawing machines

  for fine SS wire sizes.
• Plan and execute production schedules to meet daily and monthly targets.
• Monitor lubrication systems, coolant concentration, and machine parameters for smooth operations.
• Ensure minimal wire breakage and maximum machine utilization.

Quality Control

• Check drawn wires for

  diameter accuracy, tensile strength, elongation, and surface finish

  .
• Implement corrective actions for defects such as scratches, scaling, or rough surface.
• Ensure adherence to ISO and customer specifications for fine wire.

Resource & Team Management

• Manage manpower allocation across shifts.
• Guide and train operators in fine wire drawing techniques.
• Coordinate with maintenance for preventive and breakdown servicing of wet block machines.

Process Improvement

• Optimize drawing speed, die setting, and lubrication for better productivity.
• Support trials of new wire grades, dies, or lubricants.
• Contribute to

  Kaizen, lean and 5S activities

  for process excellence.

Compliance & Safety

• Enforce safety measures in the wet drawing section.
• Ensure proper PPE usage and compliance with plant safety policies.
• Maintain housekeeping and discipline in the work area.
