We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Engineer to oversee and improve the reliability, efficiency, and safety of production machinery and systems in our metal conductor manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems related to continuous and batch manufacturing processes. Position Summary Ensure optimal performance of all plant machinery, including wire drawing machines, annealing units, stranding machines, extrusion lines, and related utilities. Conduct routine and preventive maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns with minimal production downtime. Develop and implement predictive maintenance strategies (using vibration analysis, thermal imaging, etc). Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts inventory. Coordinate with the production and quality teams to support uninterrupted operations. Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations. Assist in planning and executing machine upgrades, installations, and plant expansions. Manage external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance tasks. Continuously analyze equipment performance data to recommend improvements. The PLC Programmer must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the process. The PLC Programmer must be able to meet project timelines and could travel to maintain and upgrade software and hardware for customers in facilities. Desired Skills: Excellent knowledge of Industrial Automation & Control Engineering. Candidate should be from a reputed college with a good academic record) Should have experience handling Production, NPD, Operations, Testing, Validation etc. Should have experience in complete Manufacturing, Design, Development, Planning, Production, QC, Labor handling etc.) Should have good exposure in Wire drawing, Rolling, Annealing, Hardening, tempering process Should be a self starter and able to lead and manage multiple units. Should have good knowledge of Quality systems, ISO, IATF Should be a self-starter and should be able to lead the unit without much support Should have the capability to run and take forward a 200 Cr company Should be able to look after the domestic and export market 80 and 20% respectively The company is one of the five major players in the world in its operational domain. Should be willing to work out of Coimbatore. Should have experience dealing with top management reporting. Should have excellent communication skills. Preferred candidate profile BE Mech with 13-15 years preferably in tier 1 Auto ancillary units.
